Obituary

Dwana Jackson, age 87, of Ball Ground, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Dwana was a hard-working woman with a heart full of love. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. A woman of strong faith, she loved the Lord and truly loved everyone she met. Known for her generosity, Dwana would give you everything she had in her pocket if you needed it.

She enjoyed traveling with family and friends—and was just as happy traveling on her own. In her spare time, she loved playing dominos and Yahtzee. Music brought her joy, especially gospel and country music, with Willie Nelson and Conway Twitty being her favorite singers.

Dwana was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Lloyd, Travis Lloyd, and Marvin Lloyd, and her sister, Janice Casbeer.

She is survived by her son, David Jackson of Cartersville, Georgia; her daughters, Jeanne Ochoa of Ball Ground, Georgia, Charlotte Haynie of Marietta, Georgia, and Wanda Brown of Ball Ground, Georgia; and her sister, Bettie De Luna of Wolf City, Texas. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
