In Loving Memory of Eileen Evelyn Gosslin
Eileen Evelyn Gosslin, age 88, of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026. She was born on July 8, 1938, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Evelyn Anderson and Alfred Christianson.
Eileen shared 67 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Wayne Dennis Gosslin. The two were married in Duluth, Minnesota, beginning a beautiful life together that would span more than six decades. They eventually made their home in Thousand Oaks, California, where they built a life filled with love, family, and countless memories. In 2005, Eileen and Wayne moved to Georgia to be closer to their girls, continuing the journey they had begun together so many years before.
Eileen was a woman who found great joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She especially loved gardening. There was something special about watching her care for her plants, helping them grow and flourish. Her love of gardening reflected the gentle and nurturing spirit she carried with her—a spirit that touched the lives of those around her.
Above all else, Eileen treasured her family. Her greatest joys were found in the people she loved and the life they shared together. She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, Wayne Dennis Gosslin of Alpharetta, Georgia; her daughters, Julie Lathrop (Mike) of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Terri Reel of Canton, Georgia; and her beloved grand animals, who brought her much love, happiness, and companionship.
Eileen leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories, and moments that will forever be treasured by her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished member of her family. Though her absence will be deeply felt, the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Service honoring Eileen’s life will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery.
