Elizabeth Betty (Noble) Welchel Sweatman, raised throughout the midwest and northeast was born on February 21, 1936 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She was the second of three daughters of the late Nellie (2005,) and Bert Noble (1983.) She passed away at age 82 on May 18, 2018 in Canton, Georgia. She worked in the Healthcare industry at Southern Regional Medical Center as a buyer until retiring in 1995. Elizabeth was preceeded in death by her spouse, the late William Reed Welchel (1983.) She remarried in 1994 and was widowed a second time at the passing of Carol C Sweatman in 2002. She is survived by her son, William Reed Welchel Jr.; daughter, Debra Nell Welchel; sisters, Fay Malone and Joan Darrow; and her extended family and friends. She leaves behind her adored dog, Rosetta. Elizabeth had a passion for dogs, traveling, organizing, doing puzzles, and caring for her children. She was a member at Canton First United Methodist Church.
