Rev. Ernest Easton's Obituary
Rev. Ernest Easton, 73 of Canton GA died Thursday, August 11 at Northside Cherokee Hosptial. He was born in Jackson County Illinois, on September 2, 1937 to Buster and Margaret (Faulkenberry) Easton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Rev. Easton spent many years as pastor of churches in Grayville, IL, Bar Harbor, ME, and Owensboro, KY. He was preceded in death by his
parents and a brother, Jerry Easton. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ramona Easton. Sons, David Easton of McClure, IL. Randy Easton (wife Joy) of Sullivan, IN. Daughters Marilyn Tibbs (husband Jeff ) of Laurel MD, and Carolyn Scherer (husband Ken) of Canton, GA. Grandchildren Dustin (wife Stormie) Easton, Keri Easton, Kyle Easton, Kara Easton, Nathan Scherer, Megan Scherer, Holly Tibbs and Landon Tibbs. Great-grandchildren Camryn and Jimmy Easton. One brother, Rev. James Easton of Murphysboro, IL.
Viewing will be Saturday, August 13 from 4-8pm with funeral on Sunday, August 14 at 3pm. Gravesite Service will be Monday, August 15
at 9:30am at the Georgia National Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Phillips, Rev. Jeff Tibbs and Rev. Greg Morrison.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to offset funeral costs.
