In Loving Memory of Fayelynn D. Sams

Fayelynn D. Sams, age 85, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Fayelynn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Harold Sams, and her daughter, Tracy Weaver.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Lynn Sams of Canton, Georgia, and Jason (Kasey) Sams of Canton, Georgia; her son-in-law, Jack Weaver; her seven grandchildren, Tenille (James) Turner, Taylor (Brittany) Weaver, Tara (Trey) Bennett, Wes (Ellen) Sams, Savannah (Drew) Ortiz, Brooke Sams, and Erika Sams; and her twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom were the joy of her life.

Fayelynn retired as a lunchroom manager with Cherokee County Schools, where she faithfully served for many years. She also worked at Key's Jewelry for over 30 years, forming lasting friendships along the way.

A devoted and faithful member of North Canton Baptist Church for 72 years, Fayelynn lived a life rooted in faith and service. She generously shared her many talents, especially her gift for crafting. Through projects such as Happy Caps and Project Linus, she lovingly used her skills to minister to cancer patients and those in need.

Above all, Fayelynn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness, strength, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.

Visitation

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 12:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. at Darby Funeral Home.

Funeral Service

The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026, at North Canton Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Kirby, Rev. Johnny Padgett, and Rev. Jim Amos officiating.

Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to North Canton Baptist Church.
