Forrest "Frosty" Emerson
Schultz
Dec 18, 1963 — Oct 12, 2026
In Loving Memory of Forrest “Frosty” Emerson Shultz Jr.
December 18, 1963 – October 12, 2026
Forrest “Frosty” Emerson Shultz Jr., a man whose adventurous spirit, generous heart, and love for life touched so many, passed away on October 12, 2026. Born on December 18, 1963, in Burien, Washington, to Lurline Pawl and Forrest Emerson Shultz Sr., Frosty was raised in the Puget Sound area near Seattle, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors, sports, adventure, and the beauty of the world around him.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Frosty enjoyed playing basketball, football, and baseball. He loved surfing, windsurfing, and snorkeling, and some of his fondest memories were made during summers spent in the Cayman Islands with his cousins. His adventurous nature and enthusiasm for trying new things would remain a part of him throughout his life.
Frosty attended the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, where he double-majored and discovered another passion as a college disc jockey. His love for music stayed with him throughout his life. Following graduation, he began his professional career with Boeing before pursuing opportunities in financial brokerage and obtaining his real estate license. Frosty was an independent thinker who followed his own path, approached life on his own terms, and rarely lacked an idea or a new adventure to pursue.
One of the greatest accomplishments of Frosty’s life was the home he built with his beloved wife of 14 years, Lynn. Their story was one of hard work, determination, and building a life together from the ground up. Frosty purchased the land, spending nights in a tent on the property while making payments and working toward his dream. Together, he and Lynn tackled the work themselves, beginning with the grading and continuing through the construction of their home, which overlooks the beautiful foothills of North Georgia. Their home was more than a house; it was a labor of love, a testament to Frosty’s determination, and the place where they created a lifetime of treasured memories.
Frosty loved Lynn deeply. Whether they were going for a ride, exploring the surrounding countryside, attending a ballgame, or simply enjoying time together at home, it was often the simplest moments that meant the most. Lynn saw firsthand the many sides of the man she loved—a man who believed he could accomplish anything he set his mind to, a man of strong opinions and boundless energy, and a man who also possessed a tender, sensitive, and loving heart. Above all, she saw a man whose faith was growing and whose life reflected his belief that, through Christ, all things were possible.
A true lover of the outdoors, Frosty found joy in the mountains, lakes, and rivers of North Georgia and North Carolina. He enjoyed hiking, swimming, kayaking, tubing, and photography. He loved the farm and the freedom of being outside, where there was always something new to see or do. He could just as easily be found tossing a basketball, throwing a football, playing softball, or heading out for a round of golf. Golf was more than a pastime for Frosty; it was a game he truly loved and enjoyed sharing with others.
Sports were another lifelong passion. Frosty was a devoted University of Georgia Bulldogs fan, cheering on the Dawgs with enthusiasm. Though he made his home in Georgia, his Pacific Northwest roots remained strong, and he proudly supported the Seattle Seahawks. He was also a loyal Atlanta Braves fan, attending many home games in Atlanta and cheering them on from his living room. Whether watching his favorite teams or enjoying a game himself, Frosty brought his own special energy and enthusiasm to everything he loved.
Frosty was also a self-proclaimed foodie who enjoyed good food and the experiences that came with it. He loved music, photography, and capturing the beauty of everyday life. One of his most cherished routines was rising each morning to watch the sunrise from the east side of his home. He would take a photograph or selfie and share the morning's beauty on social media, connecting with friends and followers around the world. He did the same at sunset and often stopped throughout the day to capture a moment that caught his eye. Through his photographs, Frosty shared more than beautiful scenery; he shared his appreciation for life and reminded others to pause and notice the beauty that surrounds them.
His faith also became an increasingly important part of his journey. Frosty enjoyed attending church and growing closer to God. His favorite gospel song was “Amazing Grace,” a fitting choice for a man whose life was filled with adventure, lessons learned, love freely given, and a desire to keep growing in his faith.
Frosty was proud of his German-American heritage and was always happy to share that part of his story with anyone willing to listen. He had a personality that was impossible to overlook. He could be spirited, determined, outspoken, and full of energy, with a mind that was always working and a new idea never far away. Keeping up with Frosty often took a village, because he was constantly thinking, planning, creating, or dreaming about what he might do next. Yet beneath that larger-than-life personality was a man with a genuinely compassionate heart.
One of the most beautiful things about Frosty was his quiet generosity. When he encountered someone experiencing homelessness or hardship, he did not simply look away. He might head to McDonald's to purchase a meal or offer someone a ride. He did these things without seeking recognition or praise. His kindness came from the heart, offered because he believed someone needed help. Those small, thoughtful acts revealed the tender side of Frosty and the goodness he carried within him.
Frosty lived life in his own way, with determination, curiosity, humor, faith, and an adventurous spirit. He built more than a home; he built a life filled with experiences, passions, and memories. He found happiness in a sunrise, a mountain view, a round of golf, a favorite ballgame, a good meal, a song, and the company of the woman he loved. He reminded those around him that life is meant to be lived, that dreams are worth working toward, and that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference.
To Lynn, he was her husband, her companion, her partner in building a home and a life, and the man she loved so deeply. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but the memories they created together will forever remain a part of her heart. The sunrises he photographed, the home they built, the adventures they shared, and the love they experienced will always be reminders of a life that mattered and a love that will endure.
Though Frosty’s story came to an end on October 12, the story of his life will continue through the people who knew him, the kindness he showed, the memories he left behind, and the many photographs through which he shared his view of the world.
Forrest “Frosty” Emerson Shultz Jr. will be remembered for his adventurous soul, his independent spirit, his generous heart, his growing faith, and the unmistakable way he embraced life. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
“Amazing Grace” was one of Frosty’s favorite songs, and its timeless message offers a fitting reminder that love, faith, and grace remain even when we must say goodbye.
