Frances "Fran" (Gober) Hoffman, age 75, of Panama City, Florida, formerly of Canton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at AccentCare Hospice in Cumming, Georgia.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Fran was the daughter of the late James and Lucille Coleman. She was preceded in death by her son John Gober, and her brothers Edward Coleman and Terry Coleman.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Carl William Hoffman of Panama City, Florida; her sons Theron Gober of Canton, Georgia, Grant (Ana) Gober of Canton, Georgia, and Mitchell Gober of Mooresville, North Carolina; her stepsons John Hoffman, Rick Hoffman and Todd Hoffman; and her grandchildren Grahm, Kennedy, Turner, Mariposa, Gia, Lucas, and John Hoffman.

A devoted wife, mother, and great Nana, Fran cherished every moment spent with her family. She especially enjoyed family gatherings where her warmth and joy made everyone feel at home.

Her family described her as a true Christian, known for her generosity, loving spirit, and infectious laugh. A longtime member of Canton First Methodist Church, Fran was known for her giving spirit and her delicious meals, which she prepared with love to share with her church family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home, with Rev. Dan Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 9:00 am, with a funeral procession leaving the funeral home promptly at 8:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Frances Gober Hoffman to the Cherokee County Service League at PO Box 1132 Canton, GA 30169.

Fran's memory will be carried in the hearts of her family and all who were touched by her warmth, kindness and gentle spirit.
