Frank Butner "Chip" Anderson III, age 68, of Canton, Georgia, passed away at his home on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Born on September 7, 1958, in Albany, Georgia, to the late Frank Butner Anderson, Jr. and Nadine Olson Anderson, Chip grew up in Albany before eventually making his home in Cherokee County.

Early in his professional life, Chip worked in the airline industry before establishing a long and respected career in pharmaceutical sales in the Atlanta area. Above all else, he was a loving and devoted father; his sons, Frank Anderson IV and Jack Anderson, were truly the pride of his life. Chip had a passion for flying planes, taking trips to the beach, and sharing time with his boys and his friends. He was an avid history buff—particularly regarding World War II—and a great lover of cars. Throughout his life, he carried a deep pride in his Anderson family heritage.

Chip is survived by his beloved sons, Frank IV and Jack; his sister, Ann Anderson; his niece, Laurel Anderson; and many cherished friends.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Darby Funeral Home, located at 480 East Main Street, Canton, Georgia. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., with the memorial service to follow promptly at 12:00 p.m.
