On Friday March 26, 2010 Mrs. Gennie Carson went to be with her Lord and Savior.  Mrs. Carson was a long time resident of Woodstock, where she lived with her husband of 48 years, Bobby Carson.  Mrs. Carson dedicated her life to serving others as a registered nurse at Grady Hospital and then at Kennestone Hospital.  Later in life she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education,  taught English and Drama, and coached cheerleading  at Etowah High School.
Mrs. Carson was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.  She is survived by her husband, Bobby.  Her daughter, son-in-law, and their twin girls: Layne, Jim, Emily, and Kelsey Fudge.  Her son, daughter-in-law and their six children: Rob, Stephanie, Alex, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Brianna, Mackenzie, and Nathan Carson.
Memorial services for Mrs. Carson will be held Monday the 29th at 11am in the Chapel of Darby Huey Funeral Home, with Dr. Dan Parker officiating.  Visitation will be on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in Mrs. Carson's name to the GA Chapter of the American Diabetes Foundation.
