George Harrol Jamison
August 20, 1953 - August 2, 2019
Mr. George H. Jamison, was born in Vance, South Carolina, at the age of three his family moved to White Plains, New York. There he attended Church Street School and in ninth grade attended Woodlands High School. Upon High School Graduation in 1971 he was accepted into Colgate University and received his degree in theology in 1975. After receiving his degree George remained at Colgate University and became the Assistant Junior Varsity/Varsity men's Basketball coach from 1975 until 1979.
He leaves behind his wife of 30 years Patricia "Trish" and son George Anthony Jamison, and his mother Kernis Jamison. He was preceded in death by his father George Jamison in 2015, his Aunt Frances Goodman in 1992 and Uncle William Abraham in 1973. George is also survived by his Aunt Mrs. Helen Manning, Uncle Joseph and Aunt Bea Abraham, Aunt Maryann and Uncle John Madden, Uncle Joseph Goodman, Aunt Lucille Boone, Aunt Dorothy Mirabel and Uncle Gregory Mirabal. George leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and numerous friends.
George started his career with General Motors, Chevrolet Division in Upstate New York in 1979 worked his way to Manager of Dealer Network Planning. He was transferred to many areas of the United States finally settling here in Georgia where he retired in 2015.

On Saturday August 10, 2019 at 3:00pm interment will take place at Oakdale Cemetery, 520 North 15th Street, Wilmington, North Carolina
