Dennis was the son of Dennis and Pauline Harris. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Jeanette Harris; his children, Gordon and his wife Sarah, Sharon and her husband Gerald and grandchildren, Jackson, Lauren and her husband Joey, and Haley; and his brother, Dale Harris and his wife Tamara.
Dennis was a loving husband, father and grandfather, devoted to his family, demonstrating a life of faith, service and hard work. He valued traditions, but was a very forward-thinking man embracing new ideas and opportunities. He was a respected business leader and dedicated volunteer who generously gave his time and talents to many organizations, including serving as President of the Canton Rotary Club.
He held numerous leadership roles at Reinhardt University and North Brothers Company. His love and lifelong connection for Reinhardt began in 1956, when he and Jeanette attended and graduated together. Over the years, he remained a faithful supporter of the university, serving with distinction on its Board of Directors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mr. Harris' name to Reinhardt University.
The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Harris family.
