Harry Edward Miller Jr.—known lovingly as Harry, Pops, Dad, Eddie, Grandpy, and Grandpa—was, in one word, unforgettable.

Harry had a special talent for being grumpy, stubborn, convinced he was never wrong, and yet somehow, he was still one of the kindest, most dependable people you could ever have in your life. He may give you a hard time, fuss at you, or tell you exactly what he thought, but when you needed him, he was there. No questions asked.

Harry was a proud United States of America Navy veteran who served in Vietnam. Throughout his life, he was persistent, hardworking, and loyal to the people he loved. He believed in showing up -always early- doing what needed to be done, and always taking care of his family.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Edward Miller Sr. and Meadie Watson Miller, and his sister, Elizabeth Foley.

He is survived by his sisters, Melinda Day of Canton and Judy McCannally of Madison, Alabama; his children, Angela Whiting, Harry Edward Miller III, and Dustin Bolick- Miller; and his grandchildren, Arianna Miller, Dean Whiting, Hunter Whiting, and Jaxson Whiting.

Harry leaves behind a family who will miss his stubbornness, his humor, his honesty, his loyalty, and — most of all— the way he loved them.

A Graveside Service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 9:00am. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home promptly at 8:00am. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to arrive no later than 7:30am.
