Holly Lynn Bonds Pipkey, 57, of Ellijay, Georgia, died peacefully at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper on April 7, 2025, with her family by her side. Holly was born in Atlanta on October 5, 1967 to Gary Coleman Bonds and Nancy Belt Bonds. She grew up in a loving home two miles west of the historic Marietta Square. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1985 and from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing in 1989.
Holly worked for many years as a registered nurse in a number of roles, including a lengthy tenure as a trauma nurse in the Emergency Care Center at Grady Memorial Hospital. Holly married William/Bill "Wolfie" Pipkey in 2007, and they settled in Ellijay, where they rode motorcycles, tinkered with antique cars and trucks and kept a number of much-loved canine companions, including most recently Sammy the Shih Tzu. Holly was a longtime member of Marietta First Baptist Church, and she held her faith in Jesus Christ close to her heart. She was predeceased by her father, Gary Bonds, and her husband Bill Pipkey. Surviving family members include her loving mother Nancy Bonds, her brother Russ Bonds (Jill), nieces Caroline, Sophie and Ava Bonds; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private family graveside service will be held at Georgia Memorial Park in Canton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations in memory of Holly to a non-profit or charity of your choice.
