Hulda Roberta Jones Vallotton, wife of the late Dr. William Wise Vallotton of the Medical University of South Carolina, passed away Sunday in Waleska Georgia where she had been living with her daughter. She was born and raised in Albany Georgia as the daughter of Thomas Benjamin Jones and Julia Pindar Jones , she attended Valdosta Women's College, participated in dramatic dance performance, was an avid reader, enjoyed history and genealogy. She married and raised her family in Charleston, SC where she was a member of the DAR, The Crescent Garden Club and John Wesley United Methodist Church. Her siblings included Daisy Jones Joiner, Beth Jones, Anna Jones Bruton, Tom Jones, and Helen (Ducky) Jones (surviving). She was eighty years old and is survived by her children Stephen Ralph Vallotton of Atlanta; Her daughter, Amie Vallotton Izaguirre of Waleska; Mark Hugh Vallotton of Charleston; and William Wise Vallotton, Jr. of Charleston. She has six grand children: Ben Izaguirre of Charleston, Avi Izaguirre of Waleska; Harriet Vallotton; Will Vallotton; Robert Vallotton of Charleston; and Allie Vallotton Peay of Columbia.
The funeral arrangements have been made through Darby-Huey Funeral Home in Canton, Georgia. ( www.darbyfuneralhome.com ) There will be a graveside service at Sunset Cemetery in Valdosta, Georgia on Wednesday, July 15th at 10 am. Donations may be made to the Red Cross or Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
