Idalberto Felipe Cordero
May 1, 1944 – October 3, 2026
Idalberto F. Cordero, beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle, passed away on Saturday October 3, 2026, in Canton, GA. He was born on May 1, 1944, in Baez, Cuba and immigrated together with his family to the USA in 1960. He went on to become a shining example of what it means to live out the American dream.
He was pre-deceased in death by his father, Evelio Cordero, and his mother, Maria Cordero.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Isabel; his daughter, Michelle; his daughter-in-law, Melixa; his brother, Pedro, his wife Ella and their two sons Ben and Zack. He also leaves behind several cousins and aunts.
My father was a kind and gentle soul who never met a stranger. Wherever he went, he left people feeling welcome, and those who spent even a few minutes with him often came away feeling like an old friend. He was incredibly creative and could fix just about anything, a gift he shared generously with family, friends, and neighbors. He loved nature, and he was happiest when surrounded by the outdoors.
He lived his life his way and marched to the beat of his own drum, happy go lucky and as genuine as they come, that was my dad!
He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones. We will miss him and carry him in our hearts until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation in his name to The Nature Conservancy at: nature.org/donate
