James Ellison Bailey, 83, passed away at his residence on February 13, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Bailey, and his daughter, Deborah Lea Gibbs.
He is survived by his son, David Bailey and wife, Carole, of Blue Ridge, Georgia; his daughter, Sandra Dixon and husband, Roy, of Canton, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Darby Funeral Home on March 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. for a graveside service at Georgia National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. where he will be laid to rest with military honors in appreciation for his service to our country in the United States Navy.
