James Wiley Davis, age 84 of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Season's Hospice in Cumming. The family will receive friends at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Sunday, October 28th from 3:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. The funeral will be on Sunday, October 28th at 4:00p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Mulkey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
His work with the Federal Government, in conjunction with the Department of Defense, moved him to different areas in Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Germany. He coached many youth teams in basketball, baseball, and football. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, McKinley and Sally Davis, and his sister, Jacquelyn Clark. He is survived by:

Son - Ray (Erin) Davis of Cumming
Daughter - Linda Bass of Corpus Christi, TX.
Grandchild - Mallory Davis
Grandchild - Ryan Davis
