James Joseph Del Priore, age 73, of Columbus, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Jim lived a life marked by faith, service, hard work, and deep love for his family.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a retired Air Force veteran. Following his honorable discharge after more than 20 years of military service, he was employed with Olympic Fasteners in Massachusetts before embarking on a new chapter alongside his beloved wife, Myong Chin, when the two started their own business together in 1999.

Jim found joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time on the golf course with family and wandering through the woods in search of lost golf balls, collecting more golf clubs than he probably needed. More than anything, Jim was most proud of his family and his faith. He was a devoted member of Christ the King Mission in Guntown, Mississippi.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Myong Chin Del Priore; his children and their spouses, Adam (Sarah) Del Priore and Jessica (Steve) Jaegar; his two cherished grandchildren; and his sister, Judy Del Priore.

A Memorial Mass officiated by Father Michael Oswalt will be held in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with the family receiving friends for visitation on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a private family viewing to follow from 8:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Jim will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery, where a graveside service with full United States Air Force military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m.

Jim’s legacy of devotion, humility, faith, and love for family will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
