James "Jim" Harris Galpin, age 82, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 24, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.

A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, Jim's life brimmed with love, family, and gentle wisdom. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon Galpin, of Canton.

He is also fondly remembered by his children and their spouses: sons, Scott (Pat) Galpin of Johnson City, Tennessee and Mike (Carolgene) Galpin of Nashville, Tennessee; daughter, Jaymi (Eric) Stewart of Cartersville, Georgia; Jim's legacy of warmth carries on through his grandchildren: Katie Galpin, Harris (Savanna) Galpin, Mary Grace (Phillip) Scharfstein, Kennedy Galpin, Max (Kenzi) Galpin, and Vivian June Stewart; and, extending his love to the next generation, great-grandchild, Oliver Wandell.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Local Church Canton, located at The Mill on Etowah in Suite 115 at 141 Railroad St., Canton, Georgia 30114.
