James (Jimmy) L. Long, Sr., 81 of Waleska, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at his residence.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Funeral services in honor and celebration of the life of Mr. Long will take place on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Rev. William Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

Mr. Long is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Bob) Graham of Waleska; sisters, Susie Carroll of Canton, and Gail Crowe of Ball Ground; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Companion Mary White
