Obituary
The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral services in honor and celebration of Mr. Matheny's life will take place at 9:00AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Sutallee Baptist Church, located at 895 Knox Bridge Highway in White, Georgia with Rev. Billy Edmondson officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.
Mr. Matheny is survived by his son, Donny Matheny of Cartersville, and stepson, Lewis Spivey of Florida; brother, Rick Anderson of Taylorsville; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
