James Walter Wheeler Jr.'s Obituary

James Walter Wheeler Jr., 62, of Holly Springs died Oct. 18, 2020.
A life-long Cherokee County resident, he was the beloved son of James Wheeler Sr. and Vern Wheeler, who proceeded him in death.
Jim attended Canton Elementary and Cherokee High School and was a graduate of Gainesville State College. He was employed for many years with the Crete Carrier Corporation and was a member of Heritage Fellowship Church.
Jim was a loving brother, uncle, and son, who had a big heart and a ready smile.
Jim is survived by his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca Wheeler Johnston and Harry Johnston of Canton, and Carole Ann Wheeler Horne and Ander Horne of Hickory, North Carolina; nieces and nephews and their families: Ann Johnston Cloud and David Cloud, son Phoenix James Cloud and daughter Vivien Elizabeth Cloud of Atlanta; Audrey Horne Mazzoli and Joe Mazzoli and daughter Avery Elizabeth Mazzoli of Hickory; and Nathan and Jennifer Johnston and daughter Hannah Eve Dover of Canton.
Services are planned Wednesday, Oct. 21, with visitation at Darby Funeral Home in Canton at 12 p.m. and a graveside service at Riverview Cemetery at 2 p.m.
Flowers are welcome. Memorials can be given to the Cherokee County Historical Society, 221 East Marietta Street, Canton, GA 30114, or Heritage Fellowship Church, 3615 Reinhardt College Parkway, Canton, GA 30114.
