Janet "Jan" Jensen, age 82, of Ball Ground, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Northside Hospital Forsyth.

Jan was a devoted wife of 61 years to her beloved husband, Jeffrey Jensen. She was a loving mother to Jeff Jensen of Atlanta and Jenny (Andy) Minkewicz of Atlanta, daughter-in-law Julie Jensen of Murrayville, and a doting grandmother to Gavin Jensen, John Jensen, Tess Minkewicz, and Lottie Minkewicz, as well as a cherished great-grandmother to Juniper Bloom Jensen.

Jan leaves behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and compassion. Her fierce love and welcoming nature touched countless lives. She carried so many "strays" into her heart and into her home. She believed deeply that no one should ever feel alone — whether you were a lifelong friend or someone she met at the grocery store, her door, her table and her heart were always open to you. She will be remembered not only for her devotion to family, but also someone who never met a stranger.

In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her brother, Robert Barrett of Howell, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Jan's memory to a local food pantry or community organization.

Jan's fiery spirit and unwavering love will live on in every person who had the privilege to know her. She made a home in all of our hearts.

The family will be holding a celebration of life party after the new year. Date and details to be determined.
