Jeanne Hannah Corbin age 68 passed away Tuesday October 11, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:00 PM Tuesday October 18, 2016 from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home with interment following in the Lake Forrest Memorial Park, Jasper, Georgia. Family friend Barbara Sanko and Rev. Ellynda Lipsey will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
She is survived by her husband Evan; Daughters, Shannah and Jill, and two loving grandchildren. Born Oct. 27, 1947, she attended Bass High School in Atlanta, and furthered her education at Georgia State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in June 1969. After a brief teaching career, she dedicated herself to raising her daughters, while instilling moral and Christian values. Aside from her parenting, she had a passion for musical drama. Along with a talented group, she helped establish a drama club at St. Timothy United Methodist Church. Soon they began producing Broadway Musicals while developing Christian fellowship and bonding not only for the adults but the youth, as well. Although a shy and humble person off stage, on stage she became a confident, high energy performer. God blessed with a powerful and unique voice, she sang and danced across the stage with an unforgettable gleam in her eyes and entertained people for years. She will always be remembered for her unselfish dedication to her husband, children and friends. She will be truly missed.
