Jeanne Fuller McLeod

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Jeanne McLeod on July 1, 2026, at the age of 92. Jeanne departed this world surrounded by the warmth and love of her family who are comforted knowing that she is now at rest with her heavenly father and reunited with those she loved that went before her. Jeanne was born to Floyd and Margie Fuller on February 4, 1934, in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from North Fulton High School in 1952 and spent a year at Brenau College, where she was a proud member of the Tri-Delta Sorority. Her journey through life was marked by a loving dedication to family and care giving. In 1953 Jeanne married Ramon McLeod, in Atlanta, Georgia. Their union, which spanned an incredible 71 years until Ramon’s passing in 2024, was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they navigated the challenges and joys of life while raising their four beloved children, Michael (Mike) McLeod (Dianne), Wade McLeod (Luanne), Dawn Collins (Matthew), and Laura Poland (David). Jeanne and Ramon left a legacy of a large and loving family, including 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Jeanne was a devoted homemaker, but her heart extended beyond her home. She committed countless hours to volunteer work at local hospitals and the Boswell Parker Nursing Home in Greensboro, GA bringing smiles and comfort to those who needed it most. Her nurturing spirit shone brightest in caring for her mother, aunt, and mother-in-law in their final years, embodying the true essence of selflessness and love. A woman of many talents, Jeanne was an accomplished seamstress whose creativity flourished in making clothing for her children and transforming her home with her handcrafted projects. Her love for reading was matched by her enthusiasm as a member of a women's book club at Lake Oconee, Georgia, where she and Ramon retired in 1992. Her passions were not limited to books and sewing; she was an avid Georgia Tech fan, a tradition rooted in her family and shared with her husband, Ramon, a Tech graduate. Together, they cherished their time as season ticket holders, traveling to games and passing their enthusiasm down to their children. A service to honor Jeanne’s life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Darby Funeral Home with visitation starting at 1:00, located at 480 East Main Street, Canton, Georgia. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the caregivers at The Phoenix at Union Hill Assisted Living facility and the Agape Hospice Care for their unwavering compassion and kindness during Jeanne's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Agape Hospice Care Foundation or the American Heart Association in memory of Jeanne, to continue supporting the compassionate work that brought comfort to her and many others.
