Jeffrey Grant
Jensen
Sep 15, 1944 — Sep 27, 2026
Ball Ground
Jeffrey "Jeff" Grant Jensen, 82, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer. Just ten months earlier he lost Janet, his wife of 61 years. We're fairly sure he simply missed her too much to stay and went to find her.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Jeff headed south 50 years ago to start his own business as a manufacturer's representative for metal cutting tools. He built Jensen & Associates into a lasting success. He never really stopped. At 82 he was still conducting business, and orders kept coming in right up until the day he died. Some of his clients were with him from the very beginning, a true testament to the man he was in business.
Jeff was a hardworking, honest man with a wonderful sense of humor (he never met a joke he didn't like). He was our go-to guy because we could always count on him. He was the first one we called and was always quick to offer advice and help. That devotion showed most in the last ten or so years of Janet's life, when he lovingly served as her caretaker.
His favorite pastime was wheeling and dealing. We lost count long ago, but over the years he bought and sold more than 30 houses and 75 cars. He was the ultimate salesman to the very end.
His greatest joy of all, though, was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, Juniper. Anyone who would listen got the latest news on their lives and accomplishments, photos included. He was happiest when all of his family was together.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet. He is survived by his son, Jeff Jensen of Atlanta; his daughter, Jenny Minkewicz (Andy Minkewicz) of Atlanta; his daughter-in-law, Julie Jensen of Murrayville, GA; his sister, Cyndi Wichar (Steve Wichar) of Michigan; his grandchildren, Gavin Jensen, John Jensen, Tess Minkewicz, and Lottie Minkewicz; and his great-granddaughter, Juniper Jensen.
He was deeply loved and will be so very missed.
