Jerry W. Fencl, Jr., age 85, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

Jerry dedicated 30 years of service to the New York City School System before retiring. Following his retirement, he lived in St. Augustine, Florida, and later relocated to Georgia to be closer to his family. His true place of peace and happiness was always his beloved cabin in Vermont.

He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Margaret, and a proud father and grandfather who cherished his family deeply.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Fencl of Jasper, Georgia; daughters, Amy (Jeff) Bowman of Jasper, Georgia, and Jennifer (Allen) Withington of Brighton, Michigan; sister, Joan Malone of Ocala, Florida; and grandchildren, Katherine Withington and Ian Withington.
