Jo Ann Beatty Sims, age 86, was born on May 13, 1938, in Arlington Heights, Illinois,
to Mary-Jane Bonfils Beatty and Robert M. Beatty. She passed away peacefully at
home on April 18, 2025, following a long journey with multiple health challenges.
Throughout it all, Jo Ann remained a beacon of kindness, grace, and charm. Her clever
wit, remarkable dignity, and fierce spirit never wavered. She cherished her family and
friends deeply, sharing a profound love and affection for her children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren. She was always generous with her advice and wisdom. Jo Ann
also held a deep affection for animals, many of which were her loyal companions over
the years.
The family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through the wisdom she
imparted, the love that she shared, and the cherished memories that will remain in our
hearts forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend a brief graveside service at the Georgia National
Cemetery in Canton, GA, on Tuesday April 29, 2025 at   You may join the procession from Darby
