John Rudolph Holbrook, age 88 of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 8th from 12:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. and Thursday, August 9th from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. The funeral will take place on Thursday, August 9th at 2:00p.m. at Orange UMC with Rev. Mark Outlaw and Rev. Bobby Padgett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Holbrook was the owner of John R. Holbrook Insurance Agency since 1953. He sang with the Pleasant Grove Quartet for many years. He was also the music director for many local churches. He was preceded in death by his son, John Rudolph "Rudy" Holbrook. He is survived by:
