John R. Johnson, age 85 of Canton, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 62 years; Pamela Johnson, sister; Marilyn Merinsky, Brick, NJ, sons; Richard (Nancy) Johnson, Brevard, NC, and David (Patti) Johnson, Atlanta, GA, grandchildren; Nicholas (Jenny) Johnson and Colleen Johnson, and great grandchildren; Harper, Bryce and Sydney. Mr. Johnson is a retired FAA tower chief and veteran of the Korean War. A private service is intended to be held at Georgia National Cemetery. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
