John Howard Ricker, 56, of Atlanta, died Monday, November 23, 2009.  John was born January 23, 1953, in Knoxville, TN, the son of the late William E. Ricker, Sr. and Laura W. Ricker.  He was an artist and builder who enjoyed restoring antique cars, spending time with his dog, Max, and flea-marketing with his brother and best friend, Jim.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald R. Ricker, Sr., and sisters, Shirley A. Emert and Margaret E. Phillips. Survivors include brother, William E. Ricker, Jr, of Canton, OH, brothers and sisters-in-law, George R. and Janice Ricker of Knoxville, TN and James M. and Gayla Ricker of Canton, GA, and sister and brother-in-law Patricia R. and Robbie Robertson of Carrollton, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with John's wishes, the body was cremated.  A memorial service will be conducted later.  Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to their local Humane Society.
