John Darrell West, age 60 of Canton, GA, passed away on January 17, 2018 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He was a Navy Veteran and Navy Seal instructor who loved his country and dedicated years of his life to defending our freedoms. From a young age, he enjoyed fishing and playing football. John became an avid golfer later in his life and made an elusive hole-in-one.

John is survived by his daughter Cassie West of Fort Mill, SC; his brother Steve West of Fort Mill, SC; and his best friend of more than five decades, Doug Williams of Canton, GA. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Darby Funeral Home in Canton, GA.
