John Charles Zinger

John Charles Zinger, age 79, of Canton, GA, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 25, 1945, in Detroit, MI, to Eleanor Mocadlo and John Bernard Zinger, John led a life full of faith, love, and cherished moments.

A devout Catholic, John was actively involved in the communities of Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta, GA, and Our Lady of LaSalette in Canton, GA. His faith was a cornerstone of his life and a source of strength and inspiration for those who knew him.

John found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether watching sporting events, challenging himself at a game of bridge, or spending time with his family.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen "Kathie" Hoehm Zinger of Canton, GA; his children, Marc Zinger of Dayton, OH, Jason Zinger (Jennifer) of Sheboygan, WI, and Emily Anne Zinger of Canton, GA; his mother, Eleanor Mocadlo Zinger of Canton, MI; his brothers, Gregory Zinger (Vickie) of Houston, TX, Dan Zinger (Susan) of Georgia, and Alan Zinger (Armanda) of Chicago, IL; his sister, Catherine Duffy of Michigan; and his two treasured grandchildren, Jonathon Zinger and Hudson Zinger.

John's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. His unwavering faith, loving spirit, and gentle humor leave a legacy of kindness and devotion.

A funeral service will be held at a later date.

May he rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of the Lord he served so faithfully.
