Johnny Wayne Shelton, 81, went to his heavenly home on June 29, 2016. J. Wayne was born to the late Lloyd and Stella Shelton on Dec. 2, 1934. Blessed with a large and loving family, J. Wayne married his best friend and love of his life, Patsy Inetha Martin on December 18, 1955. Together they created an amazing love story of 61 years. One that included J. Wayne leaving Georgia at the age of 15 years old to pursue a career in California. It is there he met his forever love, Patsy Inetha. Their life went on to include many road trips, amazing memories with his family, and a love for classic cars. J. Wayne loved his Lord, his family, and life. He leaves behind a legacy of a hardworking man who provided for and loved his family deeply. His love for Jesus was his strength, his love for life an inspiration, and his love for his family was his greatest legacy. J. Wayne will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. J. Wayne is survived by his wife, Patsy Inetha; his daughters and son-n-laws, Karla and Rodney Dempsey, Janet and Charles Lemons, and Patti and Myron Martin; his grandchildren, Kellic and Nathan, Kortney and Sherri, Charlsie and Kiva, Emily, Kimberly, Caroline, and Madelyn; his great grandchildren Nolan, Sam, and Emma Grace; his sister-n-laws, Mary Ann Brunson and Audrey Martin and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Stella Shelton, his brothers Bill Shelton, Donald Shelton, and Ralph Shelton; his son Wayne Shelton Jr. and his daughter Kimberly Sue Shelton. J. Wayne will be buried at Cherokee Memorial park on Saturday, July 2nd. His services will be held at Darby Funeral Home in Canton, Georgia. Jackie Stewart and Shane Dyer will be officiating.
