Jonathan Christian Clark, 45 passed away unexpectedly at home in Canton, Georgia, overnight on Friday, October 26, 2012. Jon was a tall, powerfully built man with a native intelligence, strong beliefs and quick, often sardonic wit. His wife and daughters were the true love and light of his life. He was a good hearted, loyal and generous friend, and was sincerely patriotic. Armed with incisive intellect, a passion for quality, and keen eye for detail, Jon remained committed to high standards of responsiveness and service in his work and to his customers throughout his career. He travelled extensively for his company, and Jon's ability to remain vigilant and to navigate the complexities and refined technical aspects of his job in telecommunications was well known and highly valued. He attended Young Harris College and Georgia Tech in Atlanta and began his career in the earliest days of wireless communication just blocks away from campus in mid-town Atlanta. Born in Patuxent River, Maryland on February 24, 1967 in to a Navy family that lived all over the country, most of Jon's childhood was spent in Orange Park, Florida. He was the middle of five siblings. He moved to Atlanta in his early 20's, and then to Canton upon his marriage to Misty in 1999. In recent years, he had become an avid cyclist, and loved to ride the familiar terrain of north Georgia. Jon is survived by his devoted wife Misty, and his adoring daughters Evie and Julia; father-in-law Eddie Wilson; Mr. & Mrs. Lester Bryan (Pat); Mr. & Mrs. Frank Warriner (Clydene); Mr. & Mrs. Lamar Wilson (Ting) and Mr. & Mrs. Sean McCarthy (Michelle); parents Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Clark (Geeske); brothers Alex Clark (Debbie), and Matt Clark; sisters Catherine Richardson and Mia Clark; two cousins Jonathan (Allison) and Alexea Hendry; Dr. & Mrs. John Hendry (Rixie); nieces Claire and Grace Richardson; nephews Ryan, Liam, and Jaden; and many, long-time friends and business associates all over Atlanta, Georgia and throughout the country. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 30 at 7 p.m. at Darby Funeral Home, 480 East Main Street, Canton, Georgia.
