Joseph Louis Colwell, age 62, of White, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at his home. Born on July 28, 1963, in Madison, Wisconsin, Joseph was the cherished son of Terrence and Phyllis Colwell.

From the beginning, Joseph brought warmth and joy to everyone around him. He built a meaningful life marked by dedication — to his work, his family, and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He was a devoted project manager for over 30 years, earning respect for his steady leadership and thoughtful approach to every challenge he faced. Yet, Joseph's greatest pride and joy was never found in titles or accomplishments, but in the love he shared with his family.

Joseph was married to the love of his life, Kathleen for 34 years. Their union was a testament to partnership, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together they made their home in Georgia, a place filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Joseph and Kathleen shared a life rich with travel and adventure, with places like Arizona holding a special place in their hearts.

Joseph lived every day for his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He was a loving father to Stephanie and Jennifer, and a loving, proud grandfather to Olivia and Hazel, his precious granddaughters who brought boundless joy to his life. Family was the center of his world — from the moment he woke each morning until he closed his eyes at night, his love and care for his family guided everything he did.

Joseph was known for his warm, caring spirit and his happy-go-lucky nature. He had a joke ready for any occasion and a laugh that could lift the heaviest of hearts. He was a huge Elvis fan since his childhood days. A devoted Chicago Bears fan, he wore his passion for the team with the same loyalty he showed to those he loved. His presence could turn ordinary moments into treasured memories, and his kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Colwell of White, Georgia; his daughters, Stephanie (Daniel) Holyoke of Acworth, Georgia and Jennifer (Daniel) Semo of Grovetown, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Olivia Holyoke and Hazel Holyoke. Joseph's life was defined by love — the love he gave freely, the love he lived with every day, and the love that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
