Beck
Jul 6, 1945 — Aug 27, 2026
In Loving Memory of Karen Joy Beck
Karen Joy Beck, 81, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of the family and friends who meant so much to her.
Karen was born on July 6, 1945, in Passaic, New Jersey, to the late Blanche Marantz and Charles Bodner. From her earliest days, Karen was a loving daughter, devoted wife, cherished mother, proud grandmother, and a treasured friend. Her life was defined not simply by the years she lived, but by the love she gave so freely to those around her.
Karen shared many wonderful years with her beloved husband, Bill Beck, with whom she built a life filled with family, memories, and love. Her greatest joy was her family, and she took tremendous pride in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild grow. She will be remembered for the special place she held in the hearts of each of them and for the love that will continue to live on through generations.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Bill Beck of Canton, Georgia; her sons, Don (Andrea) Beck of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Marc (Ana) Beck of Sandy Springs, Georgia; her sister, Gilda Donner of Owings Mills, Maryland; six grandchildren, Ashley Beck, Daniel Beck, Sophia Nelson, Emily Pearlman, Bryan Beck, and Meagan Harper; one great-grandchild, Theodore Beck; and her special family friend, Joyce Beck.
Karen was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bryan Beck. Though his absence was undoubtedly a lasting heartache, the love Karen shared with him remains a precious part of her story and the memories held by her family.
Karen's life was a gift to those who knew and loved her. While she will be deeply missed, her memory will remain in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, sister, and all those fortunate enough to have shared in her life. The love she gave, the family she cherished, and the memories she created will continue to be treasured for years to come.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at King Solomon Cemetery in Clifton, New Jersey.
Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Beck Family.
