Karen Sue Moody

Karen Sue Moody, age 74, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Karen was born on June 20, 1950, in Muncie, Indiana, to Hattie and Herbert James Holter. A devoted mother, sister, and grandmother, Karen's greatest joys in life were her family and the beauty she found in the world around her. She had a deep love for flowers and expressed her creativity through floral design, often bringing joy to others with her thoughtful arrangements.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Thompson (Mark) of Canton, GA, and Melissa Tennant of Helotes, TX; her brothers, Jerry Holter of Mississippi, Harold "Butch" Vernon Holter of Indiana, and Herbert "Buddy" James Holter of Tennessee; and her cherished ten grandchildren: Bradford, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Grace, Sadie, Sophie, Patie, Josie, Liam, and Sean.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in the Chapel of Canton First Methodist Church. A reception with toasts in her honor will follow the service.

Karen will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of kindness and creativity will live on in all who knew and loved her.
