In Loving Memory of Kathryn Marie McWaters
February 5, 1949 – September 24, 2025

Kathryn Marie McWaters passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025. She was born on February 5, 1949, in Ashland, Wisconsin, to Ellen Kathryn Erickson and John Watson Prentice, Jr.

Kathryn will be remembered for her loving heart, kind spirit, and the quiet strength she carried through life. She had a gentle way of making those around her feel seen and loved, and her memory will continue to bring warmth and comfort to her family and friends.

She is survived by her sisters, Barbara "Pixie" Moore (Michael) of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, and Margaret "Sandi" Pearcy of Louisville, Kentucky; her sister-in-law, Michelle McWaters of Acworth, Georgia; and her beloved nieces and nephews, DJ Pearcy, Steven Prentice, Carrie Prentice, and Cybil Marie Pickering. Kathryn was preceded in death by her daughter, Angelynn K. McWaters, with whom she now rests in eternal peace.

A graveside service honoring Kathryn's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 14, 2025, at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and love.

Though she is no longer with us, Kathryn's grace, compassion, and quiet joy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
