Klyde Hanson Stephens
Klyde Hanson Stephens, age 85, of Waleska Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Klyde was the son of the late Benjamin Thomas Stephens and Hazel West Stephens (of Fort Smith, Arkansas). Klyde was friendly, quick-witted, and compassionate, and he will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patrica Frickie Stephens; two siblings, Kenneth Stephens of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Marian Sengal of Alexandria, Virginia; three children, Michael Frickie Stephens of Jackson, Wyoming, Karen West Stephens of Atlanta Georgia, and Benjamin Read Stephens of Clemson, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Jordan, Jennifer, and Justin Stephens; and numerous nieces and nephews. Klyde was an avid amateur golfer, and so a memorial celebration of his life will be held at the Lake Arrowhead Clubhouse, in Waleska, Georgia, at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 29, 2009 ( http://www.lakearrowheadclub.net/page.aspx?id=95 ). Klyde Stephens was a kind and sensitive dog owner, and so donations in his name to the Cherokee County Animal Shelter are requested in lieu of flowers (Animal Shelter,1015 Univeter Drive, Canton, GA 30115) .
