In Loving Memory of Lana Sharon Irving
Sharon, 79, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on October 1, 1944, in Eastman Georgia and lived a life filled with love, compassion, and countless cherished memories.
Sharon retired from Lockheed Martin after a tenure of 25 years. Sharon was known for her ability to craft anything you could imagine. From embroidery to heat pressing designs on your favorite clothing or wares, she did it all. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and witty sense of humor. Sharon was a beloved spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, friend and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sharon was preceded in death by her first husband John Edward Whitley II, her son John Edward Whitley III, and her late husband Barry Alan Irving. Sharon is survived by her daughter Ginger Whitley Rodriguez, her son John Edward Whitley IV, her granddaughters Rebekah Neylan Justice, Rachel Noel Justice, Rianna Grace Justice, MaKenzie Lynn Panchot, Vivien Rose Whitley, her great grandchild Harper Paige Duran, her sister Lynette Wynn Daniels, and her brother Stephen L. Wynn.
The funeral service will be held at 1PM on February 1, 2024, at 480 E Main St, Canton, GA 30114. The precession will follow at 3PM where she will be reunited with her late husband Barry Alan Irving for eternity at the Georgia National Cemetery.
May her soul rest in eternal peace and may the memories of her love and warmth provide comfort to all who mourn her passing.
