Larry J. Soper Age 75 of Canton, GA died on Sunday January 22, 2017 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Larry was retired from the Cherokee County Sheriff Department. Was previously with the Cobb Police Department where he was a Medal of Valor recipient. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday January 30,2017 At the Georgia national Cemetery with military honors. He is survived by His Wife Virginia Soper, Canton, GA Daughters, Kristi Wiik, Greenville, SC and Kati Clark, Charlotte NC, Step son, Donald Wells, Orkney Springs, VA four grandchildren and one great Grandchild also survive. Family request that in lieu of flowers donations to Cherokee Humane society. The caring staff of the Darby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
