Laura Belle Cantrell, age 100 of Blairsville, GA, formerly of Woodstock, GA passed away Wednesday January 11, 2012.  Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday January 14, from the Darby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richie Gibbs & Rev. Vernie Worley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.  Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-8 PM.  Survivors include Son & Daughter-in-law, Darrell & Geneva Cantrell, Blairsville, GA; Daughter & Son-in-law, Mary & Wayne Montgomery, Blairsville, GA; 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren.  Ms. Cantrell was born in Cherokee Co. and lived there until 2007 when she moved to Blairsville to be near her children.  Laura enjoyed crocheting, sewing and hand crafts.  She was preceded in death by her Husband of 68 years, Lester B. Cantrell, Daughter, Rubye Searles and Granddaughter, Debra Cantrell.  Laura was a longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.  The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
