Lawrence Newton Cox, age 83 of Canton, passed away on May 24, 2019 at his residence. Visitation will occur on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Darby Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Reverend Donnie Nix and Mr. Ricky Curtis will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park. Mr. Cox is survived by his wife Evelyn Cox of Canton, GA; sons Greg & Melanie Cox of Dawsonville, GA; Tim & Casey Cox of Canton, GA, Brad & Brandi Cox of Dawsonville, GA; five grandchildren: Bobbie Crowe, Misty West, Jessica Cox, Shaelee Cox, Trevor Cox; two great-grandchildren: Katie Anglin and Austin Anglin; and a host of friends also survive.
