Obituary

Linda Sue Maritan, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt passed away peacefully turning her eyes to God on May 20, 2018. Linda was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 31, 1955 the third of four children to Patsy Danz Lanty and Jack Burks of Blanco, Texas. She graduated High School in 1973 in Dallas, Texas. Linda met the love of her life, Mickey J. Maritan whom she married and has spent 39 wonderful years with. Linda and Mickey opened Dimensions South in Atlanta, Georgia and she played a crucial part in its success over the years. But the role she cherished most was of wife and mother to their two beautiful daughters Amber & Aprill. To her daughters Linda was more than a Mom; she was their best friend, close confidant, and lifelong source of wisdom and inspiration. She was brave and relentless, battling medical challenges to the end, she continued to live life with love and laughter as though nothing could phase her. Linda was a faithful, God loving, strong, and generous woman overflowing with love for her family, friends, and dogs. Linda was a very caring person who constantly was lending emotional support to those in need both at the Northside Hospital Bone Marrow Cancer Center and Shepherd Center. At Holiday time, she made decorative home gifts for the staff that were truly appreciated by all. Linda, always put other people's feelings and welfare above her own.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her loving husband Mickey; children: Amber (Brett) Linkinhoker and Aprill (Nick) Rife; grandchildren: Kylie, Scarlett, Alexander, Beckett and Chandler; siblings: Pam (Wallace) Dechert, Dale (Jane) Burks, and Deborah (Bruce) Marbach.
