Linda Marie Webb, age 70, formerly of Clayton, GA (recently moved to
Canton, GA) passed away early Sunday morning July 2, 2023.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 29 at Darby Funeral Home
in Canton.
She is survived by her husband Joseph "Jody" Webb of Canton, GA;
daughters Samantha Mary Webb (Matthew Brent) Gygax of Roswell, GA,
and Jennifer Webb Hawthorne (Dane Hawthorne) of Woodstock, GA; sister,
Deborah Krueger of Salem, SC; and four grandchildren, Maddie
Hawthorne, Kenny Hawthorne, Josie Gygax and Katy Gygax.
Linda Webb was born to Willis Duane and Mary B. Cox March 21, 1953 in
Ipswich, England. She met her husband Joseph "Jody" Webb in Germany
while he was serving in the United States Air Force.
Linda was a wonderful person, so very loved, and will be cherished and
deeply missed by all who knew her. Our "Nana", as she liked to be called
by her grandchildren, was an amazing sister, wife, and mom. She had a
warm sense of humor. She loved gardening and was so happy she was
able to recreate an English flower garden at her Lake Burton home.
Her father was in the Air Force stationed in England when she was born.
As a daughter in a military family she was accustomed to moving and
making friends wherever she lived. They lived in Colorado, Wyoming,
Puerto Rico, California, Alabama, Maryland, Miami, and Germany where
she met Jody. She and Jody lived in Louisiana, Arizona (where both
daughters were born), Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. She spent 18 years
living on Lake Burton.
Linda's happiest years were spent being a devoted mother and
grandmother.
