Lisa Renee Towler's Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Lisa Renee Towler, 50, of Canton, Georgia, formerly of Chattanooga, Tennessee, on March 1, 2025.

Lisa had a zest for life like no other. As someone who battled daily with PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), she was a big advocate for raising awareness, participating in fundraisers and races. Known for her creative spark and a love for crafting, she had an unmatched ability to turn any idea into something beautiful. She had a great love for all things Disney, collecting memorabilia any chance she got. She also had a great interest in the Mexican celebration of Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and collected several colorful hand-crafted skulls which represented the beautiful tradition.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Ann Towler, and her dear dog, Madison.

Lisa is survived by her father, Charles Lamar Towler of Canton, Georgia; sister, Denise (David) Simerley of Rock Spring, Georgia; her nieces, Brianna (Derek) Meler of Mobile, Alabama, and Kara Baker of Riceville, Tennessee; and two adorable great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Orange Methodist Church, located at 220 Orange Church Circle, Canton, Georgia 30115. Rev. Greg Burgner will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, we request that contributions be made in Lisa's memory to The PKD Foundation at https://pkdcure.org/give/ , a cause that was so near and dear to her heart.

The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Towler family.
