Louis Michael Jernigan, 62, of Canton, GA died peacefully Saturday, January 23, 2010 after an extended illness.  Preceded in death was his father, Louis Elton Jernigan and sister, Diane Yvonne Jernigan.  Survivors include mother, Betty Lois Jernigan of Southport, NC; wife Phyllis Jernigan and son, Sean Rustin Jernigan, and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mike served in the US Air Force as communication specialist with two tours in the VietnamWar.  Mike currently was employed with the Kroger Company.

Special thanks to Mike Hilliard and his mother, Jean for all their love and support during Mike's sickness.  Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in Mike's memory.

Visitation will be at 1 PM, Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Price Funeral Home in Erwin, NC with graveside service at 2 PM at Erwin Memorial Park, Pastor Charles Carter  officiating.
