Rev. Loyed Burgess, age 77 of Canton, passed away on September 30, 2016. Visitation services will begin on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. and will last until the funeral, which will be on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m at the Old Damascus Church in Ball Ground, GA. Rev. Larry White, Rev. Dean Ghorley, and Rev. Mark Henson will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include wife Barbara Burgess of Canton; son David & Tara Burgess of Canton; daughter Kathy & Phillip Black of Waleska; daughter Susan Gravitt of Canton; daughter Lorie Burgess of Canton; brother C.W. "Dub" Burgess of Ball Ground; sister Evelyne McFarland of Canton; sister Edna McGhee of Canton; sister Helen Loggins of Canton; sister Doris Ghorley of Ball Ground; sister Rachel Gay of Canton; sister Gearldine Cox of Canton; grandchildren: Cody Black, Clint & Haley Black, Emily & Taylor Ingram, Lindsay Gravitt, Clay Black, Ashlyn & Cody Childers, Kayla Gravitt, Sarah Burgess, Alivia Black, and Cole Black; one great-grandson Tate Ingram.
