Lt. Col. James M. Cox's Obituary
Lt.Col. James M. Cox age 83 of Woodstock, GA passed away at his home Monday June 20, 2016. Graveside Services will be held 12:00PM Friday June 24, 2016 at Georgia National Cemetery with full Marine Honors. Visitation will be from 9:00AM- 11:00AM at Darby Funeral Home prior to the service.
Lt. Col. James M. Cox served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam and was a United States Marine Aviator and retired from the Marines after 23 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years; Harolyn Cox, Woodstock, Ga, son; Craig (Lori) Cox, Coeur d'Alene, ID, daughters; Jamie (Chuck) Brownlow, Marietta, GA, Julie Cox, Marietta, GA, 2 grandchildren; Katy Brownlow, Matthew Brownlow, nephew; Bob Skinner. The family would like to thank In Their Honor Transports, www.intheirhonortransports.com , for the care that was shown while transporting James to his final resting place. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Semper Fi Fund at www.semperfifund.org / americasfund.org.
